Woman killed in early morning accident

According to police, a 29-year-old woman was killed in a traffic accident early this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Chris Ragoonanan of Porsche Street in Harmony Hall, Gasparillo.

Authorities were told at around 2am this morning that Ragoonanan was driving a white Hyundai Accent in the company of a 34-year-old woman, westbound along Union Road, Marabella.

However, Ragoonanan lost control of the car, which then collided with a concrete wall of Ali’s Hardware, located on the north side of the roadway.

Ragoonanan suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision and died on the spot.

Her 34-year-old friend suffered minor injuries and was taken to San Fernando General Hospital for treatment.

She is expected to be discharged later today.

A team of officers led by Sergeant Ramoo responded to the incident.
