Activate the T-10 community cricket tournament today

The cricketing skills of the Red Dragons and T-10 Stars will be on display at the final of the Activate T-10 Community Cricket Tournament tomorrow, Saturday June 1, at the Boscobelle Playing Field, Boscobelle, St Peter.

The public is encouraged to gather at 7.30pm to watch the practice match between MQ Head Hunters and the North United Team ahead of the exciting final.

The Activate T-10 Community Cricket Tournament aims to unite communities in the North and promote community spirit, while engaging the youth and offering life coaching and life skills.

National Peace Program (NPP) Acting Director Alison Roach Plummer highlighted the importance of the T-10 cricket tournament, which has been well received by communities.

“Promoting teamwork and collaboration between participants from different backgrounds builds trust, unity and mutual respect. Furthermore, the tournament promotes physical activity, health and well-being among the youth, instilling values ​​such as discipline, perseverance and fair play.

“The Activate T-10 Community Cricket Tournament represents more than just a sporting event; it embodies a powerful community peace initiative, using the universal language of cricket to strengthen community bonds, nurture positive relationships and pave the way for a harmonious future and a more secure Barbados,” said Roach Plummer.

Twelve community teams took part in the inaugural National Peace Program tournament, which began in May, drawing groups from St. James North, St. Peter and St. Lucy.
