Donald Trump banned from 37 countries as a convicted felon

Former President Donald Trump is now a convicted felon after being found guilty of all 34 crimes for falsifying company records.

The 77-year-old was on trial for a 2016 hush money payment to an adult film actress Stormy Daniels. On Thursday, May 30, 2024, the jury read the historic guilty verdict, making Trump the first president to be a convicted felon.

Following the guilty plea, former President Donald Trump has been banned from visiting 37 countries.

After two days of deliberation, a New York jury returned a verdict, finding Trump guilty of all 34 charges related to a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. The prosecutor concluded that Daniels received the payment as “hush money” in connection with a 2006 meeting with Trump to influence the results of the 2016 election.

His sentencing is scheduled for July 11, just days before Republicans elect Trump as their 2024 candidate.

Now that Donald Trump has been found guilty of all charges in his hush money trial in Manhattan, he continues to face criminal charges in three other cases, including two for allegedly attempting to illegally overturn the 2020 election, which he lost. President Joe Biden.

According to World Population Review, Donald Trump is banned from visiting 38 countries as a convicted felon.

To visit another country you need a visa. Some countries do not allow people with criminal records to obtain a visa, so they cannot visit the country.

Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Cuba, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Macau, New Zealand, South Africa, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States are the countries that do not admit convicted criminals.

The countries that will deny entry if it is discovered that you are a convicted criminal are Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Peru, Philippines , Singapore, South Africa. Korea, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates.

Some countries do not routinely check criminal records at the border, but may deny entry if they discover that a person is a convicted criminal.

“We are a nation in decline, a serious decline in the number of people pouring into our country right now. From prisons and psychiatric institutions. With a conflicted judge who should never have tried this case. And we will fight for our constitution.”

The 77-year-old faces a fine of up to $5,000 and up to four years in prison for each of the 34 crimes he is convicted of. He has since indicated that he will appeal.

Donald Trump then blamed the Biden administration.

“A political opponent and I think it’s just a shame, and we will keep fighting, we will fight until the end, and we will win because our country has gone to hell. We don’t have the same country anymore, we have a divided mess,” he added.

“Donald Trump has always wrongly believed that he would never face consequences if he broke the law for his own personal gain,” he added. “But today’s verdict does not change the fact that the American people are faced with a simple reality. There is still only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office: through the ballot box. Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.”
