Construction worker accused of robbing man of $700

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A construction worker was arrested early Saturday morning and accused of robbing a man of $700 on North Odeon Avenue in Kingston.

Charged with theft with violence is 43-year-old Rayan Rennie, of Ambrook Lane in Kingston.

According to reports, around 3:30 a.m. a man was walking on North Odeon Avenue when Rennie grabbed his bag, which contained $700.

After the incident, the man reported the incident to the police.

The complainant was then taken by the police to the scene of the robbery and the perpetrator was identified.

Rennie was subsequently arrested and charged.

His court hearing is wrapping up.
