Sofia Vergara makes a bold move into the coffee business with ¡Díos Mio!

Sofia Vergara does busy. Despite her full schedule with recent projects, such as her leading role in the critically acclaimed Netflix series Griselda, the 51-year-old actress still finds time to indulge her entrepreneurial spirit. She not only manages her skincare brand Toty, but also the Modern family star just announced the launch of her own coffee brand, ¡Díos Mio! Coffee – available now!

The Colombian shared the exciting news with her nearly 35 million Instagram followers on Monday, June 3. In the grid post she is photographed naked, covered in coffee beans, with her hair in flowing curls. In the accompanying caption, she wrote: “Soon you too will say Dios Mío,” tagging the brand @diosmiocoffee.” She also added the coffee brand’s name to her Instagram bio, right below the aforementioned skincare brand @toty.

My God! means “My god!” in Spanish, and it is often used by Latinos in discovering the perfect taste and aroma, according to the brand’s press release. “MY GOD! COFFEE comes from my love for Colombian coffee and my high standards when it comes to the quality of my coffee,” Vergara told the press. “I grew up in Colombia drinking Colombian coffee. We have spent the last few years these blends created with an incredible team of female coffee growers behind us. Women represent 30 percent of Colombia’s coffee growers, and it’s an honor to highlight their families and legacies through ¡DÍOS MIO!

Vergara partnered with the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia to source authentic Colombian beans for the brand. She has released three blends called Sweetness (light roast), Balance (medium roast) and Strength (dark roast), each celebrating “qualities and characteristics of Colombian women,” according to the release. Furthermore, ¡Díos Mio! Coffee is now listed on Walmart’s website and comes in a few different options depending on your preferred brewing method: whole and ground beans, K-Cups, and Nespresso pods.

Dark roast: power

The brand describes its dark roast blend, called ‘Strength’, as robust, with subtle cocoa undertones and smoky notes that result from roasting the beans for longer at higher temperatures than used for a light or medium roast.

Light roast: sweetness

The brand’s light branding is meant to capture the feeling of a grandmother’s hug, also known as an “abrazo de abuela in Spanish” in a cup of coffee. It delivers a smooth and fruity flavor profile, described as a “delectable sweetness and a hint of acidity.”

In recent months, Vergara has openly expressed her passion for coffee. In February, she collaborated with Netflix on a video highlighting her talent for identifying different coffee types and brewing methods. Her skills received high praise from reviewers, with one commenting: ‘That’s talent. I work with coffee and that wouldn’t even be possible.”

“See? You shouldn’t mess with Colombians and their coffee,” she said during the video. Touché!
