Thunder on Water kicked off in Grenada on Wednesday

SUMMARY: A new mural will soon brighten up a part of Chickasaw County, especially at the North and South Old Bridge Crossing west of Madison Street. The Chickasaw County Historical Society, with a grant from the Mississippi Hills Heritage Area Alliance, began the search for artists in May. The mural, located next to the Tanglefoot Trail, aims to attract tourists who cycle, walk and hike, which will benefit local hotels and bed and breakfasts. The project will beautify Houston and increase its appeal to visitors. The mural is expected to be completed by the end of July, according to Davis.
