Francisco Recalde obituary – San Bernardino, CA (1934-2013)

Francisco E. Recalde 78, died January 15, 2013 at home. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and lived in San Bernardino for 24 years. He worked as a design engineer for Cal Trans for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. While in the Army, Francisco received 2 Purple Hearts, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medal with Palm, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Bronze Star, Army of Occupation Medal, Overseas Bar, Air Medal (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Drill Sargeant Medal with service.

Francisco is survived by his wife Dona, 5 children, 3 brothers and 5 sisters, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
