Colombia is on its way to a modest victory

Colombia start their Copa America campaign against Paraguay on Monday and Jamie Kennedy is backing Los Cafeteros to emerge victorious.

Colombia vs Paraguay (Monday, 11:00 PM)

Colombia will want to make a good start in the opening match of the Copa America against Paraguay on Monday at the NRG Stadium.

Currently undefeated in 23 matches, many bettors have Colombia as dark horses in the US this summer.

The same cannot be said for Paraguay, whose narrow 1-0 friendly win over Panama last time out is their only success this calendar year.

The Colombians are big 3/5 favorites with Betfred to come out on top in Texas, but we can push the price further (4/5) by scoring under 4.5 goals.

A rock-solid backline has been the basis for Colombia’s current 23-match unbeaten run.

Nestor Lorenzo’s team has managed to keep the back door closed in fourteen of those matches and won eleven times with zero.

That could really stand Los Cafeteros in good stead this summer and they can do well in Group D with a professional performance to beat Paraguay.

Daniel Garnero’s side have won just one of their last eleven games and lost seven times in that period.

Six of those seven defeats consisted of 4.5 match goals, one of which was a 1-0 defeat to Colombia in a World Cup qualifier last November.

Furthermore, each of Colombia’s last six victories has come in fewer than five match goals, and a similar story looks set to unfold at NRG Stadium.
