Famously known as “Franno,” he co-founded Maximizing Velocity and Power (MVP) Track Club in 1999 with Paul Francis, David Noel, and Bruce James. In his twenty-plus years of coaching athletes, God knows how many medals athletes have won under his tutelage.

Francis’ recent superstar success, Shericka Jackson, made her debut in the global sprinting arena under him. Even when she made her international debut for Jamaica at the 2008 CARIFTA Games, the legendary coach was around her. With fierce competition this time around at the Paris Olympics, Shericka Jackson will once again seek guidance from the legendary coach. In his long-standing association with MVP Track Club, he witnessed Asafa Powell’s dominant run between 2005 and 2008, when she set a 100m world record time of 9.77 and 9.74 seconds. In addition to Shericka Jackson, he saw Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce win gold medals at the Olympics.
