American pilot shot and killed by police in Florida | RJR News

A U.S. Air Force member was fatally shot by police who entered the wrong address.

Senior Airman Roger Fortson, 23 years old and black, died after a sheriff’s deputy shot him while responding to a service call.

Police previously said the deputy responded in self-defense after seeing Mr. Fortson armed with a gun.

Mr Forston’s family lawyer says eyewitnesses claim police raided the wrong house.

He demands a full investigation.

The pilot was shot down May 3 at his home, five miles from a Special Operations Wing where he is stationed.

Mr Fortson was taken to a hospital where he died.
