Trinidad and Tobago: Two persons were injured after they were victims of a stabbing attack by a suspect in the Malabar town of Arima. The physical confrontation occurred which stemmed from an argument and led to the offense on Tuesday, May 7.

The identities of the two injured victims of the stabbing in Arima have not yet been confirmed. Be that as it may, the victims are believed to be local residents of Arima, a town in Trinidad in the north of the island. It is stated that among the two injured, one is a 21-year-old man and the other is a 34-year-old man.

According to reports, on the day of the stabbing of two men in Arima, the victims had a conversation with the suspect. The suspect was present with two victims along Jeanstraat in the area where they were talking about something. Within moments, the conversation between them turned into an argument after they had a disagreement on certain topics.

It is stated that the suspect mainly had an argument with the 21-year-old man. When the situation became heated and things became aggressive, the suspect became violent and armed himself with a deadly weapon. He carried a deadly weapon with which he launched an attack on the victim, stabbing him several times.

When the victim was seriously injured, the 34-year-old friend came to help. The other man tried to calm the situation by restraining the suspect, but he was also stabbed in the body. The suspect immediately left the scene after severely assaulting the two victims.

The suspect reportedly escaped from the crime scene in a motor vehicle that was waiting for him near the scene. It is assumed that the stabbing was planned in advance by the suspect and that he was prepared to leave immediately after the crime. However, the two men were assisted and taken for medical attention to treat their wounds.

The injured stabbing victims were taken to the Arima Health Facility for treatment under medical observation. Medical staff admitted both men and urgently treated them for their injuries. The 34-year-old victim was treated, but the 21-year-old man was reported in critical condition and taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope.

The law enforcement unit was involved in Arima’s stabbing after information about the crime was passed on to them. A group of assigned police officers took action on the crime alert in their area and started the investigation to find the perpetrator after gathering clues from the scene of the crime.
