Copa America 2024: Knockout stage set

Sixteen teams competed in the 2024 Copa América tournament. After about two weeks of group stage play, only eight teams remain.

The knockout stage of the CONMEBOL quadrennial tournament is set with eight teams preparing to face off in the quarter-finals of the competition. Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Uruguay and Venezuela are the last teams remaining.

Three of the quarter-finalists – Argentina, Brazil and Colombia – finished in the top three of the previous edition of the Copa América in 2021. It was Argentina that lifted the trophy that year after beating Brazil 1-0, while Colombia won the third-place match 3-2 against Peru.
