Cuba praises US participation in the Agricultural Conference

HAVANA, Cuba, May 14 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban Foreign Minister, today praised the participation of representatives of the US agricultural sector in the sector’s fifth joint conference, held in Havana.

The Foreign Minister thanked the Agricultural Coalition, businessmen and officials of various entities of the northern country for their presence at the event that opened on Monday, with a larger attendance of US representatives compared to previous editions.

They remind us of the importance of progress and overcoming the absurdity and cruelty of the bans of the tightened blockade, both of which punish people, Rodriguez Parrilla added in his message on X.

On the first day of the meeting, which concludes tomorrow, the sides met at the Hotel Nacional and expressed their willingness to strengthen bilateral trade and joint production between the two nations, despite the White House’s unilateral restrictive policies .

The US delegation was represented by Paul Johnson, chairman of Focus Cuba; Congressman Rick Crawford and PhD Michael Strain, Commissioner of Agriculture of the State of Louisiana, agreed on the importance of these meetings in the effort to achieve greater rapprochement between the two countries in the strategic sector.
