FC Cincinnati 2 Add Brazilian forward Guilherme Santos to the MLS NEXT Pro Deal

FC Cincinnati 2 has signed Brazilian forward Guilherme (Gee-le AIR May) Santos to an MLS NEXT Pro contract, the club announced today. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 22-year-old Santos joins the Dutch team from Atlético Mineiro B after spending the past four seasons on loan at several Brazilian clubs, including Avaí FC, Red Bull Bragantino B, Esporte Clube Vitória and, most recently, Villa Nova Atlético Clube.

At Villa Nova Atlético Clube, Santos played seven league games in Campeonato Mineiro, scoring two goals in the first four games of the season. In the 2024 Copa do Brasil, the country’s knockout tournament for the national club, Santos helped Villa Nova get out of the first round with a match-winning goal against Associação Atlética Aparecidense.

In addition to Santos’ contributions in the Campeonato Mineiro and Copa do Brasil, the native of Serra, Brazil made a total of 34 appearances in Brazil’s Série A, Série B and Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior (Copinha). From 2020 to 2024, Santos scored six goals, added two assists and logged more than 2,000 minutes in all competitions.
