They seized a ship with a drug value of $32.5 million

The National Army recently captured a ship 880 km southwest of Bocana El Cordoncillo, Estero de Jaltepeque. It is estimated that he transported 1.3 tons of cocaine, with an estimated value of $32.5 million.

The boat had 3 crew members on board, an Ecuadorian and two Colombians.

At the same time, another ship was discovered that could obtain the medicine. Three crew members of Mexican nationality were found on board. This operation represents the longest drug bust on our shores in all of El Salvador’s historical past, said President Nayib Bukele.

The distance from which the drugs were taken is greater than the gap between El Salvador and the Galapagos Islands, or the gap between El Salvador and Colombia. The previous distance record was 515 nautical miles (972 km).
