Nassau Stadium in New York will host the World Cup 20 warm-up match between India and Bangladesh

The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium will open its doors to the public for the first time on June 1 as India will take on Bangladesh in a warm-up match ahead of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.
The 34,000-seat stadium will host the Asian powers’ only warm-up match before the big tournament.
Usain Bolt, the 2024 ambassador for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, visited the new stadium last week with some of New York’s cricketing legends and notable sports figures.
The schedule for the warm-up matches ahead of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has been released. These matches will be played from Monday, May 27 to Saturday, June 1 at two locations in Trinidad and Tobago and in the United States.
The India-Bangladesh match in New York will serve as the final warm-up match, offering spectators a first look behind the scenes at the recently constructed arena.
The official list of warm-up matches for the entire ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has been announced earlier. Matches are scheduled from May 27 to June 1 in the United States and at two locations in Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies.
The venues for the 16 warm-up matches are Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, Grand Prairie, Texas; Broward County Stadium, Broward County, Florida and Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
Warm-up matches will last 20 overs per side and will not carry international T20 status as teams will be allowed to field all members of their 15-player squad. Unlike the previous rights cycle, teams now have the option to play up to two warm-up matches depending on arrival time at the event.
“We’re excited to open this warm-up match to the public, and especially excited to offer local residents another opportunity to see firsthand what’s happening in their backyard,” T20 USA CEO Brett Jones. said as quoted by ICC.
“It is important that tickets and/or hospitality remain available for every match at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and we encourage fans to purchase them while they can to ensure we have a full venue as we continue to support these incredible athletes from received around the world,” he added.
