Mexico High Academic Team Takes Second Place in State Tournament – KXEO

The Mexico High Academic Team earned a second-place finish in the Final Four of the State Tournament held in Columbia on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Mexico made its second straight appearance in the Final Four, taking on Priory, Jefferson City and Rockhurst.

Mexico went off to win all three round robin matches, including a win against eventual state champion Priory.

Mexico lost to Priory 460-240 in the championship match.

The Mexico High Academic Team invites the community to come celebrate their 2nd place finish at the State Tournament during an academic trivia night at Mexico High School on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

The team will raise money during trivia night to pay for travel to compete in the Nationals.
