Lawyer Oscar Selgado awaits sentencing due to health issues – Love FM Belize News & Music Power

Lawyer Oscar Selgado is still awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of solicitation of murder. He appeared in court yesterday, where character witnesses spoke on his behalf. One of the arguments his lawyer, Arthur Saldivar, makes in court is Selgado’s health condition, which he says will worsen if he receives prison time for his crime. According to Saldivar, his client has lost 20 pounds since being in prison, and his diabetes and lack of proper meals are putting his health at risk.

For now, Saldivar hopes he can secure Selgado’s freedom with the help of alternative sentencing legislation.
